About the work

Created in the 1980s and recently re-discovered in storage, groups "One", "Two" and "Three" are all 22" x 30" Watercolor and Ink on Strathmore Aquarius Watercolor Paper. This early body of work (more of which may be added later) are in the style of Sala's NIGHT DRIVE (1984) and INVISIBLE HANDS (1989) which was shown on MTV. The Strathmore Aquarius paper made back then was different from the kind available today. It was a soft, almost cloth-like paper, and because of this, some of the drawings have areas of minor damage along the edges and a few are missing the tips of their corners. This, however, only adds to their charm as artwork created in some faraway time, discovered after decades hidden in a secret room...
